Kim & Dominic’s casual outdoor maternity session

I recently headed to Gatineau to spend an afternoon with Kim and Dominic. They are expecting their first baby in June! And the photoshoot was a blast. We took photos in their tiny but beautiful house. They posed in front of their neighbour’s shed where they had taken some of their wedding pictures. Then we headed to a covered bridge in Wakefield. The light was beautiful inside. In a nearby woods, we found a tiny waterfall and a footbridge. Kim brought along some rustic wooden letters to spell out their son’s name. Cute!

Then I had to get them to get down and make some chalk drawings. I love those pix!

This is how maternity photo shoots should be. No awkward poses with sheets artistically draped. I want to show people what your home looks like. It’s where you live and it’s part of you. Then I want to head outside to make the photo shoot a small adventure. I want you both to come and be in the pictures. Future dad, it’s your baby too! :) Finally, I want you to relax, have fun and show off your love for each other! :)

Anyways, my tiny wishlist/rant is over…

Take care everyone!
