Bride and groom take communion together

Toronto wedding photos: Kathy & Alan

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of shooting Kathy and Alan’s wedding in Toronto. They let me document a very important day in their lives. And their lives seemed so rich.

Kathy and Alan are closely surrounded by a community of friends and family. I realize they’ve had to live through some hard things, but it’s wonderful that they had such strong support from the people around them. And now they also have each other to lean on and take joy in.

As I spent the day with them, photographing their wedding and reception, I felt inspired by this small glimpse of their stories.

So my congratulations to the bride and groom and thanks for your honesty, generosity and maturity.

Here’s a preview of their Toronto wedding photos!

I decided to go all black and white this time for the blog…

Esther, I so appreciate you and the photography you do. You captured Alan and Kathy in their special wedding day so well. I love how you caught the emotions of the moment– of joy, poignancy, sheer exuberance and tenderness, with such a deft touch. Thank you, Esther!
